Fashion Self Portrait Video

This was very neat. It was definitely weird at times, but it works really well on being a self portrait video. I am assuming the person who made it is very into fashion and that is what makes them who they are. I like how they took a different approach to the idea of a self portrait video. I like the animation of the tigers as well and how they were used throughout the whole video. I was good they had repetition rather than it being shown once then never showing up again. It would be very random. But the tiger adds a nice touch to it and gives it a fierce look. Very cool and creative!

Self Portrait Painter Video

This was a very weird Self Portrait Video. The music was kind of nice and it added suspense but there were times where it was just to slow for me and I wanted it to get to the point. I like where the video takes place and the filming is rather good, I just wish it was more of a quicker video. It was really interesting though and I think it could be amazing if it was tweaked just a little bit more.

High School Rotoscopes

This is interesting! It is a video containing all these high schoolers rotoscope projects. I love how in these videos you can see all the different techniques and varieties that the students come up with. Some of them are very choppy and some are done pretty nicely. I think it is awesome though how they are learning to rotoscope in some high schools. If I knew what rotoscoping was before now, I would of been a lot more confident in my work.

Rotoscope Music Video

This is AWESOME! I cant imagine how long it must have taken! The dancing is awesome and he captured it so well with his animation using rotoscoping! I love the colors in the round-about. It was so very nicely done and I give him a huge round of applause because I know how frustrating this can be. I love his style through the whole thing. The animation also goes really well with the music with all the dancing going on. I hope my rotoscope video I have to touch up for the final turns out to be really cool.

Rotoscope Animation

This is a really well done rotoscope animation. It was extremely clean looking. I can imagine how long it took but in the end it is worth it because it turns out so nicely. They looped the guitar playing but you couldn't tell which is nice. I was very clean. I wonder how they went about filming it. It was very creative how he drew the guitar then started playing it. This video kind of remembers me of Rhett's, a guy in my class. It was very similar to his in a way. Very well done.

Masking Tutorial

This is interesting because it talks about masking and kind of explains how to do it. I wasn't in class that day so videos like this help me out a lot. I have to think of a way to add masking into my video and I am not sure yet how I well do it. It was kind of hard to understand the guy talking and I am sure I could find a better video but it works pretty well for right now.

Under Water Kinetic Type

This is very cool looking. It really has that under water effect. They did a really good job with that. It looks like something that would truly being in a famous movie I love how they have the letters be blurry and wiggly. I also like how they fade in and out  with the music. I looks very nice and very realistic. They did a really good job with it and you can tell they put a lot of time in it.

Edited After Effects

Its fun to see all the different stuff you can do with these effects. This boy is so young and know more than I do! I want to be able to learn more of the different effects because it would be fun to do in a video. Of course some of his shots could be better but over all it is cool just to show people what can be done using Adobe After Effects. That is what we are learning this semester and it is definitely just an intro so we still have so much to learn in the future.

After Effects Music Video

This is really cool! I love all the different edits he does throughout his music video. I can definitely tell he is using different cameras for that 3d effect. He also does a good job with kinetic typography. All the different type fits the video well. He keep it very interesting and exciting throughout the entire thing. I would say he is pretty good at using after effects. It is always cool to see what people can do.

Little Boy using after effects

This is a cool little video showing you different things you can do in after effects. I never knew you could do these things but of course I still have SO much to learn in after effects. This is an older version and it is still really cool looking. I really like the acting of the little boy. He really makes it look like he is doing the stuff that he edited with after effects. It would be so cool to learn all the different things to do and try them in a few of my videos. They cant be THAT hard.

Audio Self portrait video

This was pretty cool! he played with the fonts to give the video more personality and it almost sounded like he was beat boxing to the video throughout and added really cool sounds to go with the images. He did a good job and I like the way his voice sounded when he talked. I think it is definitely a very interesting take on this video and It is cool to see the different ideas everyone comes up with when making their self portrait videos.

Day dream self Portrait

This was a very weird and interesting self portrait video. I really like how she kept stretching to reach the moon. It was all about her daydreaming. The different effects she used really gave the viewer that feeling as though they are with her inside the daydream. I also really like how her face turned black and white and almost looked animated. That would be cool to do in my self portrait video. I want mine to be very colorful and fun as I have said before.

Animated Self Portrait

This animated self portrait is awesome! the different effects she used throughout it were very cool. I can tell she put a lot of time into it and I really like the colors se he used as well. That alone tells you what kind of person she may be. I also really like how to she played with the text and altered the font. The little robots were extremely cute and I really like how the entire thing turned out. I like it.

Stop motion Self Portrait

This video self portrait is very cool. It is all stop motion! it is insane how long this must've taken. A lot of patience and time went into this. I would get really frustrated with it but it turned out looking really good. A lot of her shots are really beautiful and I really like the part where she is out with the sunrise/sunset. It was very nice and added a lot to the video. I also really like how the lighting looked in the bathroom when she was doing her hair. It was good and her faces she was making were cute. I think she did a good job with her video.

Self portrait Time Lapse

I think since I am an artist it would be really cool to add a quick video of me painting in my self portrait. It would be a time lapse like this, but I dont think I would do the entire thing. I would just show some of the painting in the video. I want my video to be very artistic and fun, and I feel like that could add a lot of personality to my piece. It will be exciting to see how it turns out.

Twilight looking Video

This was a weird video. I really like the font and the way he did his text at the beginning. I think that would be an awesome idea for mine. Start off with a very cool font, and altering the font through after effects and give it a certain look throughout the piece. This video almost reminded me of twilight zone. I think he did a good job giving that eerie feeling to this piece. The music works really well with it. I think he did a pretty cool job throughout his piece.

Video using many Effects.

It looks like this guy really experimented with different effects for his self project video. I really like in the beginning how he did the different transparencies and brought them together and made different colors. He did a lot of different lightings and speeds to add variety to his film. I can tell he focused on different cameras and other effects throughout. It is cool to get an idea on what I plan on doing throughout my self portrait video. I hope to use a lot of cool effects like this video.

B&W self portrait

This self portrait video is cool how she does the voice over top of her actions. The black adn white adds a certain effect to the feeling of this video as well. I feel like it needs to brighten up at parts. I like some of the shots that are taken in different areas. Its hard to get a good video of a self portrait to really understand how our class self portrait project will be.

Self Portrait video

This person's self portrait video is kind of boring. It has an interesting take on it with all the different parts of their life. I like how in the beginning the door open into their apartment. It is cool to see all the different aspects of their life, such as art, photography, music and much more. The camera has very high definition and the filming and lighting is beautiful. I just think the video could have something in it to be more interesting.

I dont know yet if this is what we are going to be doing for class, but the guy talks about him self in a way where he is super busy with school, but on his free time and when he wants to relax, he will dJ. It was cool how he did the different chapters. I think the lighting could be better. Some of the filming and sound effects were cool to see. It was an interesting take on self portraits.

Whose Line is it Anyway?

When we said we were going to be green screening, I instantly thought of Whose Line is it Anyway when they do the News flash. He has to speak to the audience like he is in a live event that is happenign right behind him and the other guys on the show have to give him some sort of clues to let him know what is happening at the end. He goes on for a certain amount of time until he thinks he knows what is happening on the green screen and then guesses. It is always so funny. The men on this show are amazing! haha Improv kills me sometimes.

Awesome Green Screen Video

This person did an awesome job using green screen and after effects. Some of the pieces looked very real, such as him walking through the grass towards the beginning. It was really cool how in the opening scene his body would change as we saw him pass through the different frames. He did a really good job with the effects, filming and sound effects. The green screening was great. He didnt look fuzzy at all and there was not really any signs of the green screen around him.

Green Screen Backgrounds

This is pretty cool. It is a little bit cheasy but it is all free images or gifs to use for the background in your green screen. I could see them coming in handy when you need a certain feel to your video but dont live anywhere near the place you want to get in your film. For instance, this video had waterfalls, castles, beaches, etc. They are so many things we are not accustomed to everyday, so having the images free for us to use in our green screening videos come in handy.

Dancing Green Screen

haha this is creative. I like how it shows where the green screen is at first. I like the background he went with. It really gives that dance flow to the piece. The speakers are also a nice touch. There is a weird bubble around his head. I dont know if it is a light or what but its interesting. He does a good job with the editing and it is a fun little project.

Corny Green Screen

This was a very corny project. It made me laugh but I guess never doing a green screen project before it works well. It was obviously extremely fake. I dont like the beginning part with the guy standing in the middle of nowhere, but not even on a mountain. He is just floating in space and it is a little uncomfortable. Its cool how they did the effects and I think the music works well with it.

Green Screen Side by Side

This video shows the side by side views of what it looks like on a green screen. It turns out looking really cool and real. I don't understand though how some videos can look extremely fake with the green screening and others look very realistic. I guess it all about the equipment you have but I am not sure. I will be excited to green screen soon and I hope my video turns out cool even though I have no idea what I am doing yet.

Chroma Key in Movies and TV shows

This is so cool to see what all is used in Green Screening. They backgrounds for shows and movies are soo realistic, you would think they were filmed right there. It is so cool what technology has done for us. I would of never guessed half the stuff that is in here was green screening. It probably makes it a lot harder for the actors not being in the actual place and getting that real sense of where they are at but They do a really good job! The whole thing is awesome!

Bullying PSA

interesting video on bullying and suicide. I like the idea behind it. For my PSA I kind of want it to be different than any other typical PSA but its hard to get ideas. I also am not sure what I am going to have in the green screen. Driving is easy because you could have a road passing by or a field, but I am not sure what else I could do, because you know SOMEONE in the class is going to do drunk driving or something along those lines.

FADE psa

Interesting. The only thing with green screening is it can look so fake. I dont know how long ago this was filmed but it was decent. Some of it could be better but it worked. I guess the only part they really worried about was the girl fading into the black. I have no clue what I am going to do for my PSA but hopefully it will be fun and creative.

Driving Distracted PSA

I guess this is what we are going to be doing with our next project. We have to film a public service announcement while using a green screen. This is done pretty well I guess. There are parts where he doesn't ever looking like he is driving, so it would of been nice to seeing him playing the part better but I got the idea of what is happening.

Cool Rotoscope

Very cool colors. I love it. It gives me an eerie feelings and reminds me of the game we used to play "Grim Fandango". (LOVED that game)...I really like the music that goes along with this as well. It really fits the mood. The artist did a wonderful job putting this together and It was very cool to watch. I could definitely tell it was looping in the beginning walking scene, but If you didn't know what looping was, you probably wouldn't be able to tell. well done.

Lemonade rotoscope

This was SO cool! It must of taking forever. Not only is the rotoscoping the important thing, but the filming of it has to be good also. This was awesome. The film fit perfectly with the music also. They did a WONDERFUL job in this and I love how it told a story with no words, just facial expressions and music. It was very cute and I loved it a lot. I also like how it was all black and white except the lemons. Very cool and gave it a neat feel.

Cintiq looks AWESOME

SO COOL! I am buying one. I am definitely buying one, and I am already looking up ones to buy online! The tablet would be amazing to use when rotoscoping. Im sure this is what the professionals use to make their videos look so good. I would have loved to have this for my rotoscope project. It would of made life sooo much more simpler. I would love to get this just to animate and do more rotoscoping videos because I may be going into the illustration field one day also. But I want one soooo bad.

Schwabb commercial

I've noticed a lot of different rotoscoped commercials recently. There was a time when it was HUGE! but it is a very cool and simple way to animate. I think the artist for this one did a great job. It is very realistic looking. I feel like in rotoscoping it would be fun to play around more with the animation. I would love to animate this with a Cintiq or something along those lines.

Rotoscope Test

Very cool! It was simple but it had depth. I feel like adding sound to your video gives it a much better feel to it. The only thing with rotoscoping that I noticed a lot is the scene is very shaky at times and it makes me almost feel motion sickness. I could definitely see how someone could get sick easily from watching a film. I saw that a lot in the film "Waking Life" and it really bothered my head and made me get a headache. Although it is so cool looking it can also be a problem to viewers.

Snowboard on Plane Rotoscope

This is cool! the guy filmed himself doing an entire commercial and it turned out great. It really looked like his mouth was moving with each word correctly. I like the detail put into it and all the different shading. I bet it took him a while but it was really cool. I also noticed he deepened his voice to give it a different effect. Pretty cool I guess. Over all is was an entertaining commercial and It was about the length of what our rotoscope projects need to be.

Gangnam Style Rotoscope

This video is crazy! when I heard about it I thought one person did ALL of it, until I found out it was a class that got assigned a certain amount of frames to do and then put them all together in the end. It is really cool to see the finished piece. Its very interesting to see what creativity and different styles come out of rotoscoping. Each animation is so different but the whole piece together looks awesome! I bet if one person did this video it would take an entire semester.

Radio rotoscope

This is very interesting! It reminds me so much of a kids show on PBS. It kind of gives me a weird feeling like it is a flashback of some sort. I dont know. But it is done very well! The character is very easy to see and works really well through the piece. The intro was also really cool how it was a radio station and it was all animated as well. It is all very cool to look at. And not all have to be color. This one is black and white with just a little bit of blue. It adds a nice touch to it.

roto-mation awake

Pretty cool! It is interesting what little stories people can come up with within a minutes time. I really like how she used herself to scratch off the bugs. The bugs weren't detailed at all but you knew what was happening. Some of it was really choppy but that is alright! It was really cool! I am excited to think of an idea for my video!

Very interesting. This must of been used for a school project. It seems that way. The background is all real except the main character. I can definitely tell where the loops are but that is okay. I was done pretty well! I really like how the character touched the way and the whole thing turned into animation. I really am excited to do something ;like that. I may want to do something like that. That would be very neat!

Rotoscope Schwabb

This rotoscope was done EXTREMELY well. It almost makes me think it was all done using photoshop filters because it is so clean and easy to see what is happening. They were able to capture the facial expressions extremely well and the background definitely looks like it was done in photoshop the way we learned to do it. It was still cool looking but I'd like to know how they did it.

Unnatural Rotoscope

This video was done really well! The colors were great. The music used in it gave a really scary suspenseful feel to the video. He did a great job with all the frames and really showing what he was trying to show. I really understood the message behind it all and I think it was done really well. I like how he looped it and really showed off the facial expressions of the character. Well done.

Skateboard Rotoscope

This video is really cool! They keep the background very simple throughout the entire thing. You can tell there are alot of loops within the piece. I really like how it looks, and the music adds a little to it. I also like how in the middle of the piece they switch over look of the piece and invert the colors. It adds more to the background and everything else that is going on. It looks really cool and I cant wait to learn.

short kinetic video

This is a very short kinetic video. It is really cool to see how people do all sorts of different types of kinetic typography. This wouldn't exactly work for my project because there were other graphics in it, and we aren't supposed to use graphics in ours. It was cool how the text can be shown anyway we want that it is read in a book. The text can appear from bottom climbing to the top.

Dane Cook Kinetic type

This was a very accurate kinetic type video. When he emphasized certain words the text got bigger and bolder. It was really fast and the font ran into each other nicely. I really like how when he said a word for a longer amount of time than usual, the text showed that by being extended. I also like all the other stuff the text did such as bounce around and becomes fuzzy. It was very accurate to what he was saying, but I have to remember no one will be talking during my video.

Facebook kinetic typeography

I really like how this video worked together. It was cool that the entire thing was the face book font and the background was the same color as the face book logo. I like how when words were being emphasized in the video, they got bigger and when the word "tall" was being used, the letters got much bigger than what they were before. Once the entire video was up, the video zoomed out onto everything that was said and showed the face book letter "f" It had a really good ending to it.

Exam Results Kinetic type

This video is nice, but it doesn't necessarily work for our kinetic type project. It works in this video because it matches the speakers voice. If the guys wasn't talking along with the words, then the type would probably be moving way to fast. I do like how society is used a lot in the piece and as it switches its context, all the other words get blurred and society stays sharp until the next sentence comes up.

How to be Gorgeous video

All the different font variations work really well for this video. the words "Cute" and "fluffy" reflected what they were saying. The text was also really fast in this video. It was cool how they blurred the background and used the type to make a cloud. I really liked all the different colors to reflect the mood also. That is something I really need to start thinking about different colors I can use in my video to reflect mood and really emphasize what I am saying. For instance, in this video they used pink and bubble letters when talking about love. It was a very interesting video and I enjoyed watching it. I feel like it will be a fun project to do.

Poem Kinetic type

This type video is probably something I would see with our first project. It focuses on one poem, just as we will be focusing on one phrase. It is really cool how the type gets very small and grows bigger. As it grows bigger the texts starts dancing on the page and comes closer and closer to the screen. There are many different type sizes in this video giving it that effect to move back and forth. I like how the type moves and portrays the motion of the text make a circle. It also gets very confusing and all over the place when the text overlaps and twirls around the screen. It was interesting to see.

Seven Lives

 It is very interesting watching kinetic type videos. I have never seen any of them before. This is really cool. I like the way the type moves around the screen. It shows the inflection that would be used in reading the story. I like how the text works together to form into the next text. This video is good to get an idea of kinetic type, but it wouldn't work for our project because it has graphics in it. In our project we are not supposed to use any graphics at all. We can only use type and we must work a 15-30 sec video with just one phrase also.
